Exam Content Breakdown
Based on the official Instituto Cervantes, on behalf of Spain’s Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports content outline
Four tasks: detailed comprehension of an authentic text (6 items), matching 10 statements to 4 texts (Tarea 2), reconstructing a text with removed fragments (Tarea 3), and fill-in-the-blank grammar and vocabulary (Tarea 4, 14 items). Total: 36 items, 70 minutes.
Five tasks: six short conversations; attribute six ideas to either speaker or neither; six interview questions; match six short interventions to nine available statements; six extended-monologue questions. Each recording is played twice. 30 items, 40 minutes.
Two texts of 150–180 words each: a formal or informal letter/email based on an audio stimulus; then either an article commenting on a graph or a blog article/review. 80 minutes.
Three tasks: evaluate written proposals and discuss (Tarea 1), describe an imagined situation from a photograph and discuss (Tarea 2), and comment on survey data (Tarea 3). 20 minutes speaking + 20 minutes preparation.
