About the DELE A2 Exam
The DELE A2 (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera, level A2) is an internationally recognized official certificate of Spanish-language proficiency at CEFR A2 (elementary) level, awarded by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish government. Passing it certifies that the candidate can understand and use frequently encountered everyday phrases and expressions relating to personal information, family, shopping, local geography, and employment. The exam consists of four sections: Reading Comprehension (25 MCQ items, 60 minutes), Listening Comprehension (25 items, 40 minutes), Written Expression (2 open tasks, 45 minutes), and Oral Expression (3 tasks, 12 minutes plus 12 minutes preparation). Listening Comprehension
4 tasks (25 items): short conversations (6 items), public announcements or radio segments (6 items), longer dialogues (6 items), and monologues or interviews (7 items). Each audio heard twice.
Written Expression and Interaction
2 open tasks (not MCQ): completing a form or writing a short personal communication (60-70 words) and writing a personal letter, email or brief composition (70-80 words) from a prompt.
Oral Expression and Interaction
