  • Must pass both parts with 70% each
  • Bound copy of NEC 2023 is the only permitted reference

Retake Policy

Candidates who fail one portion retake only that portion — TDLR's rule is that only the failed portion must be retaken, and the passing portion is banked. PSI charges a $78 retake fee whether one portion or both are re-sat; the $30 TDLR application fee is not recharged within the 12-month eligibility window.
