Retake Policy

Examination eligibility is valid for one year from the date the state approves the application, and journeypersons may retest an unlimited number of times within that year. A candidate who fails schedules the retake directly with PSI and pays the $59 fee for each attempt; a candidate who tests unsuccessfully may retest as soon as two days later, subject to seat availability.
