The bonding conductor must be solid copper, insulated/covered/bare, not smaller than 8 AWG, or rigid metal conduit of brass or other identified corrosion-resistant metal. Pool water bonding (680.26(C)): where none of the bonded parts contact the water (fiberglass/vinyl liner pools), the water must contact an approved corrosion-resistant conductive surface exposing at least 9 sq. in. to the water at all times.
Underwater Luminaires — 680.23

Underground wiring within 5 ft horizontally of the inside pool wall is permitted only with one of the following: RMC, IMC, PVC, RTRC, jacketed Type MC listed for burial, or listed direct-burial LFMC/LFNC. Wiring under the pool is prohibited unless it supplies pool equipment permitted by Article 680. Minimum cover follows Table 300.5 — there is no pool-specific burial depth. Spas and Hot Tubs — 680.40 through 680.44

Fountains - 680.50 through 680.57
Article 680 Part V governs fountains separately from pools. A fountain in 680.2 is any basin, pool, or receptacle used as a decorative water feature. Key distinctions from pools:
