In addition to NIC exams, North Dakota requires passage of a state laws and regulations exam.
Reciprocity
For reciprocity, applicants must:
- Provide certification letter from current state board
- Submit copy of that state's licensing requirements
- Pass the North Dakota Laws, Rules & Regulations exam
Instructor CE
While cosmetologists have no CE requirement, instructors must complete 8 board-approved CEUs every year.
