Renewal Groups
Florida uses a two-group renewal system:
- Group 1: Expires October 31 of odd years (2025, 2027)
- Group 2: Expires October 31 of even years (2026, 2028)
CE Exemption
If you have held an active Florida license for 10+ consecutive years with no disciplinary action, you may be exempt from CE requirements.
HIV/AIDS Education
Florida requires an HIV/AIDS education course as part of initial licensing (approximately $20-50 additional cost).
Deregulated Services (as of July 1, 2020)
The following services no longer require a license in Florida:
- Hair braiding
- Hair wrapping
- Body wrapping
