How do the WA Electrician vocabulary games work?

There are 4 games built on 20 WA Electrician terms. In Guess the Term, a clue describes one term and you have six tries to spell it, with green, yellow and gray letters showing how close you are. In Term Match, six terms appear as colored tiles; swap neighbors to line up three or more of the same term, and each match shows what the term means. In Term Pairs, twelve face-down cards hide six pairs of terms; flip two at a time to find each pair, and every pair you find shows what the term means. In Term Search, five terms hide in a grid of letters, reading across, down or diagonally; drag across a term to circle it, and each term you find shows what it means.

Where do the WA Electrician terms come from?

OpenExamPrep researched each term from the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) content outline and primary sources, listed under Sources on this page. The game is independent study material, not an official exam resource.

How is the Washington Journeyman Electrician exam structured?

The Washington 01 general journey level electrician exam has two separately scored, open-book sections given by PSI: NEC & Theory (60 questions, 3 hours) and Washington Codes on RCW 19.28 and WAC 296-46B (17 questions, 1 hour). That is 77 scored questions in 4 hours, and up to 10 unscored pretest questions may be added.

What happens if I fail one section of the Washington exam?

Within your one-year exam period, which starts on the date of your L&I approval letter, you retake only the section you failed. If the year ends before you pass every section, you reapply and retake all sections.
