About the VLE Exam

The Philippine VLE is administered by PRC and the Board of Veterinary Medicine under RA 9268 and applicable Board rules. The current programme uses nine subject blocks spanning veterinary sciences, production, public health, clinical practice and law. Passing is followed by the required oath and professional registration/identification steps; it is not, by itself, unrestricted authority to practise.

Exam sponsor: Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Board of Veterinary Medicine. The requirements and fees below concern the certification or admission exam, separate from our free practice resources.

Assessment

The applicable 2024 enhanced TOS gives 100 items in each of nine subjects, 900 items total. Published subject scoring weights differ from these equal item counts. This is separate from the 100-question independent practice inventory.

Time Limit

Three days, three two-hour subject blocks daily: 18 examination hours, under the PRC order effective from November 2026.

Passing Score

75% general weighted average, no subject below 60%

Exam / Certification Fees

PRC publishes PHP 900 for a baccalaureate full-examination application and PHP 450 for a conditioned/removal application. These are examination base fees, not an all-in promise covering documentary stamps, payment charges, registration, review or travel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the VLE vocabulary game free?

Yes. The game is free to play with no sign-up. Signing in adds AI explanations for any term.

How does the VLE vocabulary game work?

Each round shows a clue for one of 20 VLE terms. Guess the term in six tries: green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the term but in another spot, and gray means it is not in the term. After the round, read the explanation and play the next term.

Where do the VLE terms come from?

OpenExamPrep researched each term from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Board of Veterinary Medicine content outline and primary sources, listed under Sources on this page. The game is independent study material, not an official exam resource.

How are passing and removal examinations distinguished?

A full pass under RA 9268 section 17 requires a weighted average of at least 75% and no subject below 60%. An average of at least 75% with a below-60% subject permits re-examination in the deficient subject or subjects. Each repeated subject must reach 75%; failure requires the whole examination at the next sitting, subject to PRC instructions. This is not restricted to exactly one deficient subject.

What is the current subject order?

Effective from November 2026, Day 1 is Anatomy 10%, Pharmacology 10%, Medicine 14%; Day 2 is Zootechnics 12%, Physiology 10%, Pathology 10%; Day 3 is Parasitology 10%, Microbiology and Public Health 14%, Surgery 10%. Each day has three two-hour subject blocks. These are published weights; they total 100%.
