Pipe material groupings by SMYS, base material requirements, joint design and groove geometry per API 1104.
Section 5 — WPS/PQR essential variables, mechanical testing (tensile, nick-break, bend), and procedure qualification records.
Section 6 — single and multiple welder qualification tests, position designations (1G/2G/5G/6G), visual and destructive acceptance.
Section 7 design and joint preparation, preheat, tack welds, alignment/high-low, weather conditions, electrode storage.
