Can You Take the OR RE Broker Exam?
Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •Must affiliate with a Principal Broker within 1 year of receiving inactive broker license
- •Brokers cannot practice independently — must be affiliated with a Principal Broker
- •Exam must be passed before license application can be submitted to OREA
- •License renewed biennially with 30 hours of OREA-approved CE
- •HB 3137 (effective Jan 1, 2026): Managing Principal Broker designation for broker team supervisors
- •Disclosed Limited Agency requires written consent of both buyer and seller before proceeding
- •Oregon does not use 'Salesperson' title — entry-level licensees are called 'Brokers'
