You must obtain a general rating of at least 80.00 to pass. The CSC does not round up, so a rating of 79.99 is considered a failure.
How much does the exam cost?
The examination fee is PHP 500.00, paid during the filing of the application at a CSC Regional or Field Office. The same fee applies to each retake on a future examination date.
Does the Subprofessional eligibility expire?
No. The Career Service Subprofessional Eligibility earned by passing the CSE-PPT does not expire and is valid for life for appointment to first-level government positions, subject to existing civil service rules.
Can I retake the exam if I fail?
Yes. You may retake the CSE-PPT on a future scheduled date, but you cannot take the same level of the examination within three months of a previous take, per CSC rules.
