Can You Take the WAPS PFE Exam?

Age
Education
High school diploma or equivalent at enlistment; CCAF and off-duty education boost overall WAPS competitiveness.
Experience
Active duty Airman in the eligible grade for SSgt or TSgt promotion under the current WAPS catalog.
Background Check
Maintain a current security clearance appropriate to the AFSC.
Additional Requirements
  • Meet WAPS Time-in-Grade (TIG) and Time-in-Service (TIS) eligibility windows.
  • Be recommended by the unit commander and not under control roster, UIF, or referral EPR/EPB that disqualifies testing.
  • Pass current Physical Fitness Assessment requirements per DAFMAN 36-2905.
