Can You Take the FL Surplus Lines Exam?

- •Complete an approved 60-hour surplus and excess lines course within 4 years of applying, or document 1 year of experience working for a licensed surplus lines agent (coursework waived for military members, veterans, and spouses)
- •Pass the Florida surplus lines exam with 70% (28 of 40 scored questions)
- •Self-appoint as a surplus lines agent ($150) and renew the appointment every 24 months in your birth month
