Nature of matter, chemical elements, atomic structure (protons, neutrons, electrons), molecules and compounds, states of matter (solid/liquid/gas) and changes of state
Forces, moments and couples as vectors, centre of gravity, stress, strain and elasticity (tension, compression, shear, torsion), Hooke's law, pressure and buoyancy in fluids, barometers
Linear motion and motion under gravity, uniform circular motion with centripetal/centrifugal effects, periodic and pendular motion, vibration, harmonics, resonance, mechanical advantage, velocity ratio and efficiency
Mass, force and inertia (Newton's laws), work, power and energy (kinetic, potential, total), conservation of energy, momentum, impulse, gyroscopic principles (rigidity and precession), and friction including coefficient of friction and rolling resistance
