Four to five short listening exercises: understanding a voicemail message, a public or radio announcement, simple instructions, and mini-dialogues. Most questions are 3-option QCM; a few ask for one short written item (a word, time or price). Each recording is played twice and features clear, slow speech on everyday topics (greetings, shopping, transport, time).

Four reading exercises using authentic A1-level documents: signs, labels, public notices, short messages, classified ads and a brief article. Questions are mostly multiple-choice or matching, with occasional very short written answers.

Two short writing exercises: filling in a simple form (1 point per correct item) and writing a very simple message (postcard, invitation, note) of at least 40 words on an everyday topic. Assessed on task achievement and basic correctness.

Three parts: (1) guided interview about the candidate's identity (name, age, nationality, job); (2) information exchange — the candidate asks the examiner questions using six word cue cards; (3) simulated dialogue (role-play) in an everyday situation such as shopping. 10 minutes preparation + 5–7 minutes speaking.
