Exam Content Breakdown

Based on the official France Éducation international (FEI) content outline

Compréhension de l'oral25%

Three exercises across five recordings: two long radio documents heard twice (7 items and 9 points each) and three short clips heard once (6 items, 7 points). All items are 3-option MCQ since the 2020 reform.

Compréhension des écrits25%

Three exercises: exercises 1 and 2 each present an informative or argumentative press text of roughly 425–450 words with 7 MCQ items worth 9 points; exercise 3 requires attributing 6 statements to three individuals writing on a shared topic, for 7 points.

Production écrite25%

One extended writing task of at least 250 words: a structured argumentative piece such as a formal letter, opinion article, or contribution to a debate. Assessed on task completion, coherence, vocabulary range and grammatical accuracy.

Production orale25%

Individual oral session after 30 minutes of preparation: a 5–7 minute monologue suivi presenting and defending a point of view built from a short trigger document, followed by a 10–13 minute exercice en interaction (debate) with the examiners. There is no role-play at B2.
