Yes. The game is free to play with no sign-up. Signing in adds AI explanations for any term.
How does the MI Journeyman Electrician vocabulary game work?
Each round shows a clue for one of 20 MI Journeyman Electrician terms. Guess the term in six tries: green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the term but in another spot, and gray means it is not in the term. After the round, read the explanation and play the next term.
Where do the MI Journeyman Electrician terms come from?
OpenExamPrep researched each term from the Michigan LARA (PSI) content outline and primary sources, listed under Sources on this page. The game is independent study material, not an official exam resource.
What NEC edition does Michigan use for the electrician exam?
Exam items are based on the 2023 NEC, though other NEC editions may be used during the open-book test. The code book must be bound and may carry only factory markings, highlights or tabs; handwritten notes, added tabs, loose or attached papers and the NEC Handbook are not allowed.
Does Michigan offer electrician license reciprocity?
No. LARA says Michigan does not hold reciprocity with any other state, so out-of-state electricians apply to LARA and pass the Michigan exam administered by PSI. LARA may waive the exam for armed forces or uniformed services members, veterans and their dependents who hold an active electrical license in another US state.
