Flooding the eponychium with builder is a sensitization and lifting move. Apply, flash or full-cure per the system, build the apex, cap the free edge, refine, and top-coat. On a fill, reduce the grown-out ledge, rebalance structure, and never fill over lift or moisture.
Hybrid gel: a published system, not a guess
Hybrid gel is a manufacturer-defined mix of soak-off behavior and structural thickness. Some lines sell a soak-off builder. Some sell a more solvent-resistant structure gel. Some stack soak-off color over a file-off core. The exam trap is the word builder. Do not assume all "builder gel" soaks off. Read the system. If the label and SDS say file-off, you file.
