Can You Take the FIMM FCE Exam?

Education
To register as a Consultant, FIMM requires a minimum age of 21, SPM with credits in at least three subjects (or an equivalent, or a recognised diploma or degree), fit-and-proper status, and a pass in the FCE unless an exemption is granted.
Additional Requirements
  • •Applicants create a login in the FIMM Core System (FCS) and select a Distributor as their intended principal; the Distributor accepts the applicant and pays the fees through its FIMM account.
  • •One FCE pass allows registration as both a UTS Consultant and a PRS Consultant, but marketing and distribution may start only after FIMM approves the registration.

The new application examination and resit fee is RM350. Other related fees include exemption from examination (RM150), variation of registration (RM100) and appeal of examination result (RM100); all fees are subject to applicable government taxes.

Study time: FIMM does not publish a recommended study time. Candidates typically work through FIMM's free FCE Study Guide (eight chapters, plus the FIMM Code of Ethics) and its end-of-chapter practice questions before booking the exam.
