Practice reading structural plans, schedules, member marks, connection notes, base plate details, anchor rod layouts, grout requirements, and plan-exhibit style questions.
Can You Take the ICC S1 Structural Steel and Bolting Exam?
Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •GR: 25 questions, 1 hour, open book; an active ICC Special Inspector certification may satisfy this module.
- •S1C: 60 questions, 2 hours, open book; approved reference is the AISC Steel Construction Manual, 14th or 15th edition.
- •S1P: 30 questions, 1.5 hours, closed book; electronic plans are supplied and no additional references are permitted during PRONTO administration.
- •The former integrated 90-question S1 examination was replaced by modular testing in December 2017 and is not the current registration format.
