Can You Take the Florida CNA Exam?

Required — Level 2 background screening (FDLE + FBI) through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse

Additional Requirements
  • Training program must be approved by Florida AHCA or Department of Health
  • Must pass both written test (60 questions, 90 min) AND clinical skills evaluation (5 skills)
  • Background check must be clear per Florida Statutes Chapter 435 disqualifying offenses
  • Must apply for registry within 24 months of completing training
  • Skills test includes 1 required skill (hand washing) + 4 randomly selected from remaining 21
