Can You Take the CO Electrician Exam?
Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •Register as an electrical apprentice with the Board before performing electrical work
- •Document all practical experience on the Board's Affidavit of Experience form, signed by the supervising electrical contractor
- •Submit the initial license application to the DORA Division of Professions and Occupations
- •Schedule the examination with PSI after the Board approves the application

Article 100 definitions, Article 110 general requirements and working space, electrical theory, and Ohm's law and three-phase fundamentals.
Article 120 dwelling and commercial load calculations, voltage drop, box fill, conduit fill, and pull box sizing.
Articles 210, 215, 225 and 230 covering branch-circuit ratings, required outlets, feeders, service conductors and service disconnects.
Article 310 conductor properties and ampacity, temperature correction and bundling adjustment, and Chapter 3 cable assemblies.
Pools and spas, generators and transfer equipment, signs, and other Chapter 6 special equipment.
