Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •Pass a 100-question written exam (NITC: closed book, 77% to pass, 2 hours).
- •Pass the practical brazing exam (NITC BTS15 coupons examined to ASME Section IX).
- •Have the employer document brazing continuity every 6 months to keep the braze qualification current.
- •Recertify every 3 years with a 4-hour NFPA 99 update course and a 40-question open-book exam (NITC: 80% to pass).
