Add Ignition, Fuel, Air, and Exhaust
Drill primary/secondary ignition, scope waveforms, CKP/CMP sensors, fuel pressure and volume testing, electronic throttle control (TAC), vacuum leaks, exhaust backpressure, and LPG systems (24% combined).
Finish Head, Valvetrain, Block, Lube and Cooling
Review cylinder head warpage and valve service, bore and bearing metrology, Plastigauge, camshaft/timing drive, oil pump clearance, cooling pressure tests, and fan clutches (22% combined).
Can You Take the ASE T1 Exam?
Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •ASE evaluates the two-year Repair Technician requirement and approved training credits; accredited OEM-sponsored co-op completion can receive two years, while other listed training alternatives generally receive one year or less.
- •Each ASE T-series test, including T1, is registered for and taken individually
- •T1 is not required to earn the Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician credential (which requires T2 through T8)
- •Certifications are valid for five years; the T1R recertification test has 25 scored questions in 30 minutes

Quality Exam Prep Shouldn't Cost Hundreds
I'm Ran Chen, an engineer with 20+ years of coding experience. I passed my Life Insurance license, EA exam, SIE, Series 6, 63, 65, and finally the CFP® exam.
Through all these exams, one thing became clear: exam prep is expensive. But with AI, we can change that. Quality preparation can now be free for everyone.
