Elementary applicants need a Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) or equivalent; Secondary applicants need a Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) or a bachelor's degree in arts and sciences (or an equivalent degree) with at least 18 units in professional education (RA 9293).
Additional Requirements
  • Applicants register through the PRC LERIS online portal and submit a PSA birth certificate, transcript of records, and valid ID for verification.
  • The LET is governed by Republic Act No. 7836 (Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994) and administered by the Board for Professional Teachers.

150 items covering principles and methods of teaching, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, curriculum development, assessment of learning, educational technology, the teaching profession, and the Code of Ethics. Weighted 60% for Elementary and 40% for Secondary.
