Can You Take the NCCT NCPT Exam?

U.S. high school graduate or GED
Education
Completion (or current enrollment) at an NCCT-authorized phlebotomy program (within the last 5 years for graduates), OR equivalent military training, OR documented work experience.
Experience
1 year of full-time supervised phlebotomy experience within the past 5 years (alternate route).
Additional Requirements
  • California: provide proof of 50 venipunctures and 10 capillary punctures
  • Louisiana: provide proof of 100 venipunctures and 25 capillary punctures
  • Application fees ($119) valid for 1 year from submission
  • Remote testing via ExamRoom.AI available for additional $44 with passing system check
  • Reschedules require 14 days notice and a $25 fee
  • Maintain active status through NCCT's annual continuing-education and recertification requirements
