Frequently Asked Questions
Is the PMP vocabulary game free?
Yes. The game is free to play with no sign-up. Signing in adds AI explanations for any term.
How does the PMP vocabulary game work?
Each round shows a clue for one of 40 PMP terms. Guess the term in six tries: green means the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the term but in another spot, and gray means it is not in the term. After the round, read the explanation and play the next term.
Where do the PMP terms come from?
OpenExamPrep researched each term from the PMI (Pearson VUE) content outline and primary sources, listed under Sources on this page. The game is independent study material, not an official exam resource.
What is the PMP exam pass rate?
PMI does not publish PMP pass rates or a fixed passing score. The exam is criteria-based: your results on the 170 scored items are compared with a standard set by subject matter experts. The score report gives pass or fail plus domain-level diagnostics; the 10 pretest items do not count.
How hard is the PMP exam?
PMI says the July 2026 exam is not more difficult, just more relevant. It is scenario-based: 180 questions in 240 minutes, about 40% predictive and 60% adaptive/agile or hybrid, with new case or scenario sets and graphic-based items. Business Environment rose from 8% to 26%, so governance, compliance, risk, and change topics matter more.
