1.1 Current Exam Facts
Key Takeaways
The current exam is Oracle NetSuite SuiteFoundation Specialist, exam N16300GC10, and passing it earns the NetSuite Certified SuiteFoundation Specialist credential.
Oracle's MyLearn exam page lists 65 multiple-choice questions, 90 minutes, and a 55% passing score, delivered online with a proctor.
NetSuite prices a single-use Specialist exam at $125. There are no free retakes, and every attempt, including a No Show, uses one purchased exam attempt.
Oracle designs the exam for candidates with 6 to 12 months of hands-on NetSuite and implementation experience, and the MyLearn exam page lists no prerequisite credential.
Registration moved from Kryterion Webassessor to Oracle MyLearn in the 2025 program change, so fact sheets showing $250, 80 minutes, or an unpublished passing score are out of date.
Which exam this guide covers
This guide prepares you for the Oracle NetSuite SuiteFoundation Specialist exam, exam number N16300GC10. Passing it earns the credential Oracle lists as NetSuite Certified SuiteFoundation Specialist. Oracle registers and delivers the exam through Oracle MyLearn, the learning platform that replaced the older NetSuite testing path in the 2025 program change described in section 1.2.
Oracle's exam overview says the certification is designed for people with 6 to 12 months of hands-on NetSuite and implementation experience who are preparing for the NetSuite Administrator, ERP Consultant, or Developer certifications. It validates knowledge of NetSuite core concepts and functionality: setup and administration, the NetSuite interface and tools, standard business process flows, reporting fundamentals, and maintenance and data security. NetSuite's Certification Resource Center describes the same credential as proof of core functionality, including managing records, business processes, sales orders, and inventory. It names power users, administrators, recent implementation team members, and future Administrator, ERP Consultant, or SuiteCloud Developer candidates as the audience.
This is the same SuiteFoundation exam NetSuite has offered for years, now placed at the Specialist level of the new program. Its 41 objectives match, nearly word for word, the objectives in NetSuite's March 2024 SuiteFoundation study guide. What changed is the logistics around it: the price, the platform, the published length and passing score, and whether the credential expires.

The numbers to memorize
These values come from the MyLearn exam page for N16300GC10 and NetSuite's certification purchase page, both checked on September 29, 2026.
| Item | Current value | Where it is published |
|---|---|---|
| Exam number | N16300GC10 | MyLearn exam page |
| Delivery | Proctored online | MyLearn exam page |
| Format | Multiple choice | MyLearn exam page |
| Number of questions | 65 | MyLearn exam page |
| Duration | 90 minutes | MyLearn exam page and learning path |
| Passing score | 55% | MyLearn exam page |
| Price | $125 for a single-use Specialist exam | NetSuite certification purchase page |
| Recommended experience | 6 to 12 months of hands-on NetSuite and implementation experience | MyLearn exam overview |
| Domain weights | 18%, 17%, 28%, 12%, and 25% | MyLearn exam topics, covered in section 1.3 |
Two pieces of arithmetic help. First, 90 minutes is 5,400 seconds, and 5,400 divided by 65 is about 83 seconds per question. That is enough time to read a scenario twice, but not enough to rebuild a menu path you never practiced. Second, 55% of 65 is 35.75. Oracle states the cut as a percentage. It does not publish a raw number or say whether any items are unscored, so treat the percentage as the rule and do not plan to pass by a single question.
What an attempt costs
NetSuite's certification purchase page lists three prices. Associate exams are free. Specialist exams are $125 for a single use. Professional exams are $245 for a single use. SuiteFoundation is a Specialist exam, so one attempt costs $125.
NetSuite's certification FAQ adds the rules around that price:
- There are no free retakes. Every time you register and sit the exam, you apply one exam attempt.
- An exam purchase deposited in your MyLearn account cannot be transferred to another person.
- A company can buy several attempts and assign them to employees. Once an attempt is assigned, it cannot be reassigned.
- Your purchases and remaining attempts appear in the MyLearn dashboard under My Exam Wallet.
Two attempts therefore cost $250 in exam fees. Training is separate. The Certification Preparation - SuiteFoundation Specialist learning path on MyLearn includes a preparation course and a practice exam labeled Free Explorer Pass, and most of its other eLearning courses require an LCS Company Pass. Oracle's pricing policy notes that a local-currency price may not map exactly to the U.S. dollar figure, so read the checkout amount before you pay.
Registering and sitting the exam
Sign in to MyLearn with an Oracle account, open the SuiteFoundation Specialist exam, which is the final item on the learning path, apply an exam attempt, and choose an appointment. Oracle's exam page lists three requirements for the session: a computer that meets the minimum system requirements, government-issued identification, and check-in 30 minutes before the exam time. Oracle's exam pages also say the name on the ID must match the name used for registration. The NetSuite FAQ adds that only Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are supported, and that you should clear the browser cache first.
During the exam the screen is locked. You cannot open a demo account, SuiteAnswers, or any other reference. Pen and paper are not allowed. The exam control panel provides a digital calculator and a digital whiteboard instead. Plan your study around closed-book recall. If you can find a preference only by clicking through Setup, practice until you can name the page without the account in front of you.
Timing rules carry real cost:
- Reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before the appointment. Later than that, you risk forfeiting the attempt.
- A missed appointment is recorded as a No Show, and a No Show counts as an attempt.
- Special accommodations require a support ticket at least 15 business days before the planned exam date. Oracle says not to register until the accommodation is approved.
After the exam, the result is displayed on screen. Oracle CertView holds the detailed score report, the certificate, and the digital badge. Oracle's scoring policy says the score report gives an overall score, pass or fail status, and a breakdown of performance across the exam domains. It does not list the individual questions you missed, and the certificate itself does not show your score.
If you fail, Oracle's program guidelines let you schedule a retake after a waiting period. The public guideline text and the NetSuite FAQ do not state a day count, so check the earliest retake date MyLearn offers. Each retake uses a new attempt, and a passed exam cannot be retaken.
Scoring rules that change strategy
The NetSuite FAQ explains grading in three rules worth memorizing. You are graded on the percentage of questions answered correctly. A wrong response counts as zero. There is no negative scoring, so responding to every question is always better than leaving one blank.
The FAQ also says exams include multiple-choice questions and may include scenario-based items. NetSuite's own sample items include several that say Choose 2, so read each stem for the number of selections it wants. Oracle notes that exams are written on the current NetSuite version while customers move to a new release in phases. That is why a screen in your employer's account can look slightly different from the one a question describes.
Older numbers you will still see
Search results, forums, and older PDFs still carry figures from the program NetSuite ran before 2025. Know where each one came from so you can set it aside.
| Older claim | Where it came from | Current fact |
|---|---|---|
| $250 exam fee and $150 retake fee | NetSuite's March 2024 study guide, under the old program | $125 per Specialist attempt, and every retake is another attempt |
| 80 minutes and 65 or 66 questions | Older NetSuite study-guide and FAQ pages | 65 questions and 90 minutes |
| The passing score is not published | NetSuite's October 2024 sample test | 55%, on the MyLearn exam page |
| Register at Webassessor through Kryterion | The pre-2025 registration path | Register and test through Oracle MyLearn |
| Three to six months administering NetSuite | The March 2024 study guide | 6 to 12 months of hands-on and implementation experience |
When sources disagree, use the newest applicable publication from the exam owner. The MyLearn exam page, NetSuite's purchase page, and the August 2026 recertification FAQ are all newer than the March 2024 study guide and the October 2024 sample test. The older documents remain useful for one job: their study notes and sample items explain what each objective means, and this guide cites them for that purpose.
What a qualified candidate already knows
NetSuite's 2024 study guide describes a qualified candidate as someone who can work in NetSuite and has a basic understanding of these areas:
- Features and standard modules, such as CRM and ERP
- Company preferences and user preferences
- The relationship of users, roles, and permissions
- Customization options for the user interface
- Dashboards, reports, and searches
- Standard record types and how they are structured
- The NetSuite product release process
That list still describes the knowledge the 41 objectives test. If an item feels unfamiliar, start with the chapter that covers it: preferences in Chapters 2 and 5, roles in Chapter 16, searches in Chapter 13, and releases in Chapter 15.
A candidate's notes say the SuiteFoundation exam lasts 80 minutes, costs $250, and has an unpublished passing score. Which set matches Oracle's current MyLearn exam page and NetSuite's current exam price?
80 minutes, a $250 fee, and a passing score NetSuite does not publish
65 questions, 90 minutes, a 55% passing score, and $125 for a single-use Specialist attempt
60 questions, 105 minutes, a 68% passing score, and a $245 fee
100 questions, 120 minutes, a 70% passing score, and a free attempt
A candidate registered for a 9:00 a.m. SuiteFoundation appointment cannot attend and does nothing until the appointment has passed. What happens to the attempt?
MyLearn moves the appointment to the next open slot at no cost
Oracle refunds the $125 because the exam was never started
The attempt becomes a free retake voucher for the same exam
It is recorded as a No Show, which counts as an exam attempt, because rescheduling or cancelling had to happen at least 24 hours before the appointment
Which statement about scoring on the SuiteFoundation Specialist exam is accurate?
Wrong responses subtract points, so leaving difficult questions blank is safer
The score report lists each missed question with its correct response
You are graded on the percentage of questions answered correctly, wrong responses count as zero, and the score report breaks performance down by exam domain
The certificate prints your exam score so an employer can confirm it without CertView
