Can You Take the Ohio CNA (formerly STNA) Exam?
Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •Must pass both the Knowledge Exam (79 questions, 90 min, 70% to pass) AND the Skill Test (3 or 4 tasks in 35 minutes)
- •Ohio Revised Code 3721.32(E) calls registry-listed aides in good standing certified nurse aides (CNAs); the older title State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) is still widely used
- •All Ohio test sites use electronic TMU testing
- •Nursing students enrolled in pre-licensure programs may waive training requirement with ODH approval
- •Registry maintains records of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation findings
