Based on the official Educational Testing Service (ETS) content outline
One 'Analyze an Issue' task requiring test takers to develop and support their own position on a complex issue of general interest. Scored 0–6 in half-point increments by trained human raters and an automated scoring system. The 'Analyze an Argument' task was removed in September 2023.
Two sections (12 + 15 questions) assessing reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and vocabulary in context. Question types: Reading Comprehension (passages with multiple-choice, select-in-passage), Text Completion (1–3 blanks), and Sentence Equivalence (choose 2 of 6 synonyms). Scored 130–170.
Two sections (12 + 15 questions) assessing arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis. Question types: Quantitative Comparison, Multiple Choice (single and select-all-that-apply), and Numeric Entry. An on-screen calculator is available. Scored 130–170.
