3+ years of qualifying wealth management experience plus approved training, or 5+ years plus a bachelor's degree, or 10+ years with at least 5 of those years in the last 7
Additional Requirements
  • Experience must be U.S.-based because the exam is built on U.S. laws and regulations
  • Qualifying experience must involve direct client interaction delivering fiduciary services
  • Approved candidates may test at U.S. test sites or by live remote proctoring

Candidates must wait at least 90 days between the start date of the most recent window and the next retake window, may attempt the exam an unlimited number of times, and must pass within three years of the first attempt or submit a new application and full fee.
