Answering comprehension questions based on longer spoken dialogues and narrative passages, testing understanding of gist, detail, and inference in spoken French.
Completing isolated sentences that test vocabulary and grammatical structure, including verb forms, pronouns, prepositions, and agreement.
Filling gaps in short connected passages where vocabulary and structure must fit the surrounding context, testing grammar and word choice in discourse.
Answering questions about reading passages and authentic stimulus materials such as ads, signs, and articles, testing comprehension of main ideas and details.
