Exam Content Breakdown
Based on the official Cambridge University Press & Assessment (Cambridge Assessment English) content outline
Five parts: matching names to people in a picture, gap-fill note-taking with spellings and numbers, matching pictures to words, three-option multiple choice, and colouring or writing from instructions.
Matching definitions to nouns (Reading and Writing Part 1) covering everyday A2 topics: places, jobs, animals, food, clothes, family, weather, the home and time.
Three-option gap-fill and short-text tasks testing past simple and continuous, present continuous, comparatives and superlatives, quantifiers, modals, prepositions, pronouns and linking words.
Reading short stories, factual texts and choosing the best title (Reading and Writing Parts 3, 4 and 5), and completing sentences using one to four words.
Choosing the correct response in a continuous dialogue (Reading and Writing Part 2), matching answers to question words such as why, when, where, how many and whose.
