About the A1 Movers Exam

Cambridge English A1 Movers, also known as YLE Movers, is the second of three Cambridge English Qualifications for young learners and sits at A1 on the CEFR. It is designed for children typically aged 8 to 11 who have completed around 175 hours of English and have already passed or studied for Pre A1 Starters. The test has three papers: Listening (5 tasks, 25 questions), Reading & Writing (6 tasks, 35 questions) and a short face-to-face Speaking test. There is no pass or fail; children earn up to five shields in each skill for a maximum of fifteen, so the experience stays positive and encouraging.
