Exam Content Breakdown
Based on the official Cambridge English (Cambridge University Press & Assessment) content outline
Seven parts, 52 questions, and 1 hour 15 minutes. Tasks include multiple-choice cloze, open cloze, word formation, key word transformations, multiple-choice reading, gapped text, and multiple matching. The paper tests text comprehension, grammar control, vocabulary range, collocation, phrasal verbs, text structure, and specific-information matching.
Two tasks in 1 hour 20 minutes. Part 1 is a compulsory essay using two given ideas plus the candidate's own idea. Part 2 asks candidates to write one text from options such as an article, email or letter, report, or review. Each answer is 140-190 words and is assessed for content, communicative achievement, organization, and language.
Four parts, 30 questions, and about 40 minutes. Recordings are heard twice. Tasks measure detail, gist, attitude, purpose, agreement, stated opinion, specific information, and matching meaning across monologues or interviews.
Four parts and 14 minutes per pair of candidates. Candidates answer interview questions, compare photographs in a long turn, complete a collaborative discussion and decision task, and take part in a broader discussion. Assessment covers grammar and vocabulary, discourse management, pronunciation, interactive communication, and global achievement.
