Operator daily: look at the cover
VGB compliance is not only a 2008 construction project. It is a daily visual:
- Is every submerged suction outlet — mains, spa suction, feature suction, equalizer wall fittings — covered with a listed fitting?
- Are screws or fasteners present, tight, and the correct listed hardware (not drywall screws, not one screw “for now”)?
- Is the cover cracked, sun-faded to chalk, warped, or missing vanes?
- Has the expiration / life date passed?
- Can you see the cover (water clarity is a VGB issue as well as an RWI issue)?
