About the Tunisia Category C Exam

Category C covers vehicles, other than Category D, with a PTAC over 3,500 kg, with a trailer of up to 750 kg. Candidates must be 20, hold Category B with the 2-year stage period completed, and present a certificate from an occupational doctor. They pass a 30-question ATTT theory test in Arabic or French and lorry road and manoeuvres tests at one appointment. This bank is an independent English-language MCQ study adaptation of the technical and regulatory knowledge behind those tests, not an official translation or a simulation of them.

Tunisia Category C: Suggested Study Strategy

1Master the air-brake checks: build-up, warning pressure, leaks and the spring parking brake (Annexe 1, 7.1.5).
2Learn the Tunisian driving-hour rules from Décret n° 2000-145 rather than foreign rules: 9 hours a day, 45 minutes after 4½ hours, breaks of at least 15 minutes.
3Know the speed limits by weight: over 3,500 kg up to 12 t, 80 km/h outside built-up areas and 100 km/h on motorways; heavier lorries are slower.
4Remember zero alcohol for heavy-goods drivers and that the licence must be renewed every 3 years before 60.
