About the MTC Brevete B-IIc Exam
Class B-IIc is the only professional Class B licence. It covers L5 three-wheelers (mototaxis) in the special public passenger service and for goods, plus the B-IIa and B-IIb vehicles. It is obtained by direct grant from age 18, with the COFIPRO driving-school certificate, a health certificate, the knowledge exam and an L5 skills exam, and it is valid for 5 years. The specific half of the exam covers L5 vehicle requirements under the RNV, the mototaxi service regulation (D.S. N° 055-2010-MTC) and RNT rules for small vehicles. The official exam is in Spanish. This bank is an English-language MCQ study adaptation, not an official translation or simulation, and keeps Peruvian legal terms in Spanish.

What are the requirements for a B-IIc licence?
Under Article 13.5 you must be at least 18, submit the sworn form, have a registered health certificate, declare that no court has barred you from driving, present the COFIPRO from a driving school (at least 8 hours of practice and 15 hours of theory), pass the knowledge exam and an L5 skills exam, and pay the fee.

Who authorises mototaxi service?
Under D.S. N° 055-2010-MTC, the district municipality grants the permiso de operación to legal persons, controls the service with PNP support and sanctions infractions with a warning, a fine of up to 5% of the UIT, suspension of up to 15 days or cancellation of the permit. The permit lasts 6 years.
Where may mototaxis circulate?
On feeder roads in the provincial Plan Regulador and urban roads set by the district municipality where mass transit is absent or deficient, at no more than 30 km/h. Under Article 157 of the RNT they may not use the national or regional network unless it crosses a populated centre or there is no alternative road, nor expressways or flyovers when alternatives exist.
