About the AB-620 Exam
Exam AB-620 leads to the Microsoft Certified: AI Agent Builder Associate credential and validates the ability to design, build, integrate, test and govern enterprise-grade AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio. It targets professional developers, consultants and ISV partners who already work with Power Fx, Microsoft Dataverse, Power Platform environments, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Foundry and adaptive cards, and who understand generative AI concepts such as orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol. The exam covers planning and configuring agent solutions (including agent flows, topics, generative answers and responsible AI), integrating and extending agents with connectors, Azure AI Search, MCP tools, computer use, Foundry and Fabric agents and multi-agent A2A collaboration, and testing and managing agents through evaluation test sets and application lifecycle management. AB-620 entered beta in April 2026; most exam questions focus on generally available features, with widely used preview features sometimes included.

How do the AB-620 vocabulary games work?
There are 4 games built on 20 AB-620 terms. In Guess the Term, a clue describes one term and you have six tries to spell it, with green, yellow and gray letters showing how close you are. In Term Match, six terms appear as colored tiles; swap neighbors to line up three or more of the same term, and each match shows what the term means. In Term Pairs, twelve face-down cards hide six pairs of terms; flip two at a time to find each pair, and every pair you find shows what the term means. In Term Search, five terms hide in a grid of letters, reading across, down or diagonally; drag across a term to circle it, and each term you find shows what it means.
Where do the AB-620 terms come from?
OpenExamPrep researched each term from the Microsoft (scheduled and delivered through Pearson VUE) content outline and primary sources, listed under Sources on this page. The game is independent study material, not an official exam resource.
What certification does Exam AB-620 lead to?
Passing AB-620 earns the Microsoft Certified: AI Agent Builder Associate credential, which validates designing, building, integrating, testing and governing enterprise AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio.
What score do I need to pass AB-620?
You need a score of 700 or greater on a 1 to 1,000 scaled score. Microsoft reports results after the exam; if the exam is in a beta period at the time you test, results are delayed while Microsoft evaluates question performance.
