Can You Take the Ohio Notary Exam?
Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •Must be Ohio resident OR non-resident attorney licensed in Ohio with principal place of business in OH
- •No disqualifying offenses (crimes of moral turpitude, fraud/theft violations)
- •Licensed Ohio attorneys exempt from exam but must take 3-hour education course
- •If failed exam twice, must re-register and pay $130 fee again
- •30-day mandatory waiting period after failing exam
- •RON authorization requires additional 2-hour course and $250 fee
