Can You Take the USPAP Exam?

Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements

Age
Education
The 15-Hour National USPAP Course or an approved equivalent is initial qualifying education for a real-property appraiser credential; state approval controls credit
Experience
A course final does not itself require appraisal experience; candidates take the separate AQB National Exam after their state verifies required education and experience
Additional Requirements
  • Confirm course, delivery-format, instructor, and exam approval with the state regulator before enrolling
  • Register for the AQB National Exam through the testing provider contracted by the state regulator
  • Verify testing location, remote-testing availability, fees, passing requirements, and retake rules with the applicable provider or state
  • Practicing real-property appraisers complete the 7-Hour USPAP Update Course or equivalent once every two calendar years
