Can You Take the UCAT Exam?
Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •Candidates may sit the UCAT only once per annual testing cycle (13 July to 24 September 2026)
- •A UCAT account must be created before booking; 2026 registration opened 20 May and booking opened 23 June
- •Access-arrangement and bursary applications must be approved before a test can be booked
- •Results are sent by the UCAT Consortium directly to the chosen UCAS universities in early November

Retake Policy
Candidates may only take the UCAT once per annual testing cycle. Any attempt to sit the test twice in the same year will invalidate all scores.
