Solving equations, inequalities and systems of linear equations; linear and exponential growth; functions (linear, polynomial, radical, exponential, logarithmic, piecewise) and their graphs including translation, reflection and symmetry; interpreting formulas.
Percents and percent change, markups, discounts, taxes, profit and loss; simple and compound interest including continuous compounding; effective interest rate and effective annual yield (APR); present and future value.
Reading tables, bar, line and circle graphs (pie charts), histograms and scatterplots; mean, median, mode and range; standard deviation and the normal distribution (conceptual questions only).
Truth tables, conditionals, converse/inverse/contrapositive, quantifiers, set operations, Venn diagrams and subsets.
Counting principles, permutations and combinations, probability of simple and compound events, conditional probability and expected value.
Properties of triangles and quadrilaterals (perimeter, area, similarity, Pythagorean theorem), parallel and perpendicular lines, and circles (circumference, area, central and inscribed angles, sectors).
