Learn both sulfur capping (C617) and unbonded neoprene caps (C1231). Memorize Shore A pad hardness ranges, cap thickness limits, and planeness tolerances.
ASTM C78 — Flexural Strength
Practice the modulus of rupture formulas (PL/bd² and 3Pa/bd²), middle-third rule, stress rate, and beam geometry requirements.
