The SBI Clerk exam is the recruitment test conducted by the State Bank of India to hire Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) for its clerical cadre across India. 1Master the 20-minute sectional timing in Prelims by practising English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning separately under the clock; you cannot move between sections.

What is the eligibility for SBI Clerk?

Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised University and be between 20 and 28 years of age, with category-wise age relaxation. They must be able to write and speak English and should know the official/local language of the state applied for.

How much is the SBI Clerk application fee?

As per the latest notification, the application fee is Rs. 750 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, PwBD, and ex-servicemen candidates are exempted. The fee is paid online and is non-refundable. Fee amounts can vary slightly between recruitment cycles.

How is the final SBI Clerk merit decided?

Preliminary exam marks are not added for selection. The merit list is drawn state-wise and category-wise on aggregate Main Examination marks only, with 5 bonus marks added for eligible trained SBI apprentices. Provisional selection is then subject to verification of eligibility and to qualifying the local language test where applicable.

What is the Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)?

The LLPT is taken after provisional selection and before joining by candidates who did not study any specified local language of the state applied for in Class 10 or 12. It has a Non-Verbal Test with objective and subjective parts (3 passages, 15 questions and 15 marks each) and a 20-mark Verbal Test. Candidates must score the Bank's minimum qualifying marks in each test, and those who fail are not offered appointment.

Can final-year students apply for SBI Clerk?

Yes, final-year graduation students can apply, but if selected they must produce proof of having passed the graduation examination by the date stipulated in the notification. The date of passing is taken from the mark sheet or provisional certificate.
