About the FE Electrical & Computer Exam
The FE Electrical and Computer exam is one of seven NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering disciplines and is commonly an early examination step toward professional engineering licensure. The 110-question CBT is administered year-round at Pearson test centers. Passing does not automatically confer EI/EIT status or later PE eligibility; the licensing jurisdiction controls those steps.
Exam sponsor: NCEES (Pearson VUE). The requirements and fees below concern the certification or admission exam, separate from our free practice resources.
