Assesses the academic reading and reasoning skills needed for tertiary study: understanding academic vocabulary, identifying main ideas, following arguments, distinguishing fact from opinion, drawing inferences and interpreting tables, charts and visual text.
Assesses the ability to interpret and reason with quantitative information in real-world and academic contexts: reading graphs and tables, percentages, ratio and proportion, rates, multi-step calculation, basic statistics and pattern recognition without a calculator.
