     flush time so the plumbing lines - not just the bowl - are
     exposed.
  7. Hold for the label contact time (at least 10 minutes for bleach).
  8. Drain, rinse and dry.
  9. Reassemble; store the basin dry.

The deeper end-of-day or weekly clean recommended by most manufacturers uses a low-foaming chelating detergent circulated through the lines to lift the organic film that ordinary disinfection cannot penetrate — the practical answer to biofilm, which is a physical structure and not merely a population of organisms.
