This is one of very few topics tested in both examinations, which makes it high-value.

A nail tip is a pre-formed plastic (usually ABS) extension bonded to the free edge of the natural nail to add length. On its own a tip is fragile; it is almost always overlaid with an enhancement product. What the examination tests is the bond, the fit and the blend.


1. Anatomy of a Tip

2. The Sizing Rule
